Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll provide exceptional support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits, and communicating with patients and internal partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Communicate with patients and internal partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Collect copay amounts and obtain authorizations from insurance companies
  • Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues

Essential Qualifications

* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

* Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with internal partners
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and email applications
  • Strong keyboarding skills and accuracy
