Primary Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls from patients, payers, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
  • Providing coordination of billing activities among peers, including recognizing problems and researching options for the manager
  • Performing billing/verification as assigned, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims
  • Calculating out-of-pocket amounts for advanced services and communicating with patients regarding anticipated amounts due
  • Responding to inquiries regarding patient accounts with accurate and timely information
  • Collaborating with the manager and supervisors to formulate and implement departmental objectives

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in medical billing and insurance verification
  • Two years of experience in a customer service environment
  • NextGen EPM software experience is a plus
  • Epic software experience is a plus

Skills and Abilities

As a customer service representative at arenaflex, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent keyboarding skills and familiarity with the Windows environment
  • Understanding of various payer verification/claims software
  • Evidence of excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to spell accurately and write legibly
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

As a customer service representative, you will be required to:

  • Sit for extended periods
  • Use a computer frequently, involving repetitive fine hand manipulation and simple grasping of items
  • Occasionally bend and twist your neck and back, stand and/or walk, and lift/carry items up to 25 lbs
