Overview

The Cloud Engineer 2 is responsible for contributing to cloud products and system design working with engineering teams to solve complex problems lead innovative projects and evangelize cloud engineering excellence across the organization. This position is experienced in one or more cloud-related engineering fields actively working to mature cloud engineering practices across the company. Responsibilities: Write code to solve moderately complex problems; contribute to logic algorithms and system design in alignment with established standards Work closely with teams from across the organization to solve moderately complex software problems in the cloud Assist in new cloud technology research proof of concepts (POCs) and innovation efforts across the department Participate in the implementation of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to cloud environments with a focus on quality security and automation Contribute to and document best practices regarding application deployment and operational procedures Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in software development cloud engineering or a related technical engineering field Demonstrated experience in at least one cloud-related engineering field Experience supporting cloud software that is in production and used by customers is preferred Experience working with one or more public cloud providers Experience implementing and working with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related systems Experience with infrastructure as code deployments Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor Good collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills Good attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to participate in projects to completion independently Ability to work independently and in a team environment Sharp fast learner with technology curiosity and a proven track record of continuous improvement Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native design principles Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with building systems that meet stringent quality security and compliance standards General knowledge of a general purpose programming languages Up to 10% travel time required Apply To This Job
