Computer Vision Camera Systems Summer Internship
Alphacore is seeking an innovative and hands-on intern to join our cutting-edge research team in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you'll contribute to advancing real-time perception by working directly with state-of-the-art camera systems—both frame-based and event-based. You'll gain hands-on experience in camera calibration, algorithm development for edge computing, and the implementation of machine learning techniques in real-time robotics applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and fine-tune camera systems for high-performance, real-time use
- Design and implement algorithms on embedded and edge computing platforms
- Support the development of machine learning pipelines and user interfaces
- Collaborate across disciplines at the intersection of optics, robotics, and software engineering
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics
- Knowledge of camera systems, sensors, and real-time data processing
- Proficient in programming languages such as C++ and Python
- Interest or experience in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and robotics platforms (e.g., ROS)
