Fullstack Software Engineer, Self Serve

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for setting technical direction to enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, and driving complex projects across our technical stack.. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth. Our business has found incredible product-market fit and has monetized effectively since the day we signed our first customer. As a Software Engineer on the Self-Serve Team, you'll be part of the Platform organization at Vanta, working horizontally across many areas of the product. You'll help drive customer activation, engagement, and retention by building features and tools that make it easy for users to adopt the product, realize value quickly, and develop habits that support their compliance and security goals. Your work will deliver direct customer value while also contributing to the platform by building reusable patterns and primitives that other teams at Vanta can adopt to drive activation in their respective areas. Additionally, you'll play a key role in unlocking new business opportunities for Vanta. You’ll help build out patterns that support product trials, enabling customers to try before they buy and empowering partner teams to create effective trial experiences. Finally, you'll contribute to in-app purchasing and integration efforts—both for Vanta’s own products and for third-party offerings—so customers can manage all their compliance needs in one place. • Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
• Lead high impact projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable our business and team to scale
• Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth
• Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve and review their security posture
• Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow

How to be successful in this role:

• Have at least 3 years of full stack experience
• Have a passion for high visibility customer facing features, with a strong eye for detail
• Have experience or interest in integrating AI tools into UI flows
• Have strong communication and collaboration skills
• Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space
