Job Title: Salesforce Tester Location: Remote (USA) Duration: Fulltime Position Summary We are looking for a Salesforce Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating Salesforce functionality, integrations, and customizations to ensure high-quality deliverables. This role requires strong testing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with Salesforce Developers, Admins, and Business Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning & Execution
  • Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design test cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for Salesforce applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce environments.
  • Ensure testing covers Salesforce standard objects, custom objects, workflows, reports, dashboards, and Lightning components.
  • Automation & Tools
  • Create and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Provar, or Tosca.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Quality & Collaboration
  • Log, track, and retest defects ensuring timely resolution.
  • Work closely with Salesforce Developers, Admins, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate data migrations, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure test processes align with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Advocate for QA best practices within Salesforce development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5+ years of QA/test experience, with at least 1-2 years in Salesforce testing.
  • Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (functional, regression, UAT, performance).
  • Experience with test automation tools (Provar, Selenium, Tosca, UFT, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce testing frameworks (Apex Test Classes, SFDX).
  • Proficiency with SQL/SOQL for data validation.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Preferred Certifications (a plus)

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder
  • ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation or Advanced)
  • Provar Automation Certification
