Events Manager - Corporate & Social Functions

Our client is a prestigious hospitality group renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for a dynamic and organized Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of a diverse range of corporate and social events at our premier venue in Madison, Wisconsin, US . This role requires a blend of creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding client service skills to ensure every event is memorable and successful. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from initial client consultation and concept development to on-site coordination and post-event analysis. Key Responsibilities: Consult with clients to understand their event needs, vision, and budget. Develop creative event concepts, themes, and proposals tailored to client requirements. Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, catering coordination, AV requirements, and vendor management. Create detailed event timelines, floor plans, and run-of-show documents. Oversee event budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., culinary, banquet, AV) to ensure seamless event execution. Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers. Provide on-site management and supervision during events, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting any issues. Conduct post-event evaluations, gather client feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management and hospitality. Market event services and capabilities to potential clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably within the hospitality or corporate sector. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events (e.g., conferences, galas, weddings, corporate meetings). Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. A passion for creating exceptional experiences and exceeding client expectations.
