Home Infusion Authorization Intake Specialist Department: Healthcare & Life Sciences Employment Type: Full Time Location: California Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 / hour Description We are seeking an experienced Intake Authorization Specialist with expertise in home infusion and a strong knowledge of HCPCS and ICD-10 coding. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our growing business by ensuring accurate and timely authorization of services and verifying patients' insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients.
- Request authorizations for services as required.
- Accurately enter patient profiles and medical documents into the pharmacy system.
- Adjudicate pharmacy benefit claims, including Medicare Part D.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Required: Prior experience in home infusion.
- Preferred: Familiarity with HCPCS and ICD-10 coding.
- Experience adjudicating pharmacy benefit claims, particularly Medicare Part D.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
