Position Details Location: Remote Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Salary: $86,800 – $112,900 Position Overview Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Applications, the IT Applications Specialist III – HRIS is responsible for supporting and enhancing business-critical HR applications across development, UAT, and production environments. This role also leads project activities, supports system improvements, and serves as a key liaison between technical teams and business users. This is a highly visible role requiring a hands-on technical expert who can also act as a team lead and strategic partner—someone who focuses on root cause analysis rather than quick fixes and continuously seeks process and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support enterprise-level applications in development and testing environments Provide Tier II support, troubleshooting system performance, user issues, and transaction errors Perform system administration, including scripting and monitoring IT services Support databases, including SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS Collaborate with end users and vendors to resolve technical issues Assist with implementation, configuration, and testing of new system updates Act as a primary point of contact for business system users, ensuring high customer satisfaction Lead and support day-to-day activities of the application support team Assist in IT project execution (small to large scale) Develop and maintain technical documentation and system knowledge Support mobile device integrations and functionality Drive process improvements and system optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in application support, systems integration, and system administration Experience supporting business-related and enterprise-level systems (Tier II support) Strong understanding of relational databases and system architecture Experience with: Active Directory Microsoft Office Suite SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS Light programming/scripting (PowerShell, VB, T-SQL, etc.) Knowledge of IT General Controls and compliance standards Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems independently Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Familiarity with HR systems and Human Resources processes Experience translating technical concepts into user-friendly communication Background in process improvement and system optimization Key Competencies Customer-first mindset with strong communication skills Collaborative team player with leadership capability Strong business acumen and analytical thinking Ability to work through ambiguity and drive value creation Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills Benefits (Start Day 1!)
