About the position Presto is a leading Voice AI company focused on restaurant drive-thrus, operating in complex, noisy, customer-facing environments. We partner with major American restaurant brands to implement AI solutions that enhance revenue, improve labor efficiency, and create exceptional guest experiences. AI is central to our product development and iteration cycles, as we tackle challenging problems in Voice AI. We are a Y Combinator company backed by Remus Capital, headquartered in Silicon Valley. Presto operates at a fast pace, with constant change and evolving roadmaps, appealing to builders, experimenters, and problem-solvers who thrive in ambiguity and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Customer Experience: Be accountable for the AI experience quality across all stores, dayparts, and orders. Regularly listen to real orders to understand guest and crew member experiences. Set quality standards, identify experience gaps, and drive rapid resolution. Track core experience metrics like accuracy, speed of service, guest satisfaction, escalation rates, and upsell performance.
  • Sell and Expand the Account: Own the full sales cycle for account expansion, from pipeline building to negotiating terms and closing commitments. Lead strategic sales from pilot to full-fleet deployment, navigating corporate buying committees, franchise advisory councils, and regional operator groups. Proactively identify growth opportunities (new regions, franchisees, dayparts, store formats, features). Build business cases for expansion with ROI analyses, data packages, and executive presentations. Sequence rollouts intelligently and negotiate expansion agreements, renewals, and pricing.
  • Own the Product Trajectory for Your Brand: Act as the voice of the customer within Presto, translating operator and guest needs into product priorities. Partner with the Forward Deployed AI Product Builder on the product roadmap, ensuring continuous AI system improvement. Drive feature adoption by ensuring new capabilities are configured, tested, and delivering value. Understand brand menus, operations, and guest expectations to be a credible product partner. Ensure the brand's deployment uses the best product version and that learnings feed back to the platform team.
  • Lead the Cross-Functional Account Team: Serve as the single point of accountability for the brand account. Partner with the Forward Deployed AI Product Builder who owns technical delivery. Align engineering, product, deployment operations, support, and leadership around account priorities and timelines. Set the team's pace and standards, creating clarity on priorities and expectations. Escalate issues intelligently.
  • Build Operator Trust and Adoption: Develop trust-based relationships with corporate leadership, franchise operators, and regional managers. Drive adoption by communicating AI system performance in terms of speed, accuracy, labor savings, and guest experience. Visit stores to observe operations and bring real-world context back to product and engineering teams. Leverage successful deployments as case studies and reference points.
  • Shape the Playbook: Contribute to and improve the shared operating model for Brand GMs. Document and codify repeatable processes for account expansion, CX management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination. Partner with Presto leadership to refine go-to-market strategy based on field learnings.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of experience in high-performance business roles: management consulting (MBB or strong boutique), founder/operator experience, enterprise sales, business development, or general management at a high-growth technology company.
  • A builder's mentality: experience creating something from scratch (company, business line, market entry, major account expansion) with demonstrable results.
  • Deep customer empathy and quality obsession: granular focus on end-user experience and willingness to investigate issues personally.
  • Strategic selling ability: understanding of enterprise deals, buying committee decision-making, account-based pipeline management, and closing techniques.
  • Comfort leading cross-functional teams through influence, setting priorities, and driving execution across engineering, product, and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to build models, interpret data, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills: ability to present to C-suite, write compelling business cases, and engage directly with stakeholders.
  • High ownership mentality with comfort operating in ambiguity, incomplete information, and evolving priorities.
  • Genuine interest in AI and technology, with the ability to learn quickly and speak credibly about the product.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent analytical training.
  • Experience in restaurant, QSR, franchise, or multi-unit retail environments.
  • Background in AI, SaaS, or enterprise technology go-to-market.
  • Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing models.
  • Track record of growing an account or business unit from early revenue to $10M+ ARR.
  • Familiarity with franchise business models, including franchisor/franchisee dynamics, co-op structures, and regional operator groups.
  • Prior experience deploying technology into distributed physical environments (stores, restaurants, warehouses, field operations).
