English Second Language Teacher
Buddies is an online English program for children ages 5–12, built around one-on-one lessons with teachers. Our mission is to help kids build real confidence in English through connection, play, and conversation. We are a small, heart-led company with a global team and deep relationships with our students and families. This is a remote role. Applicants can be located anywhere. Position Summary We are seeking passionate and reliable teachers to join our team of online instructors. As a Buddies teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, one-on-one online lessons to children, helping them fall in love with English while developing strong communication skills. A structured curriculum and creative flexibility’ll support you, and you’ll work with the same students over time to build real, lasting connections.
Responsibilities
- Teach one-on-one online English lessons to kids aged 5–12.
- Prepare for each lesson using the Buddies’ curriculum and creative materials.
- Encourage conversation, play, and confidence in a positive learning environment.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Buddies team and follow scheduling procedures.
- Build long-term relationships with students and families.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One year of teaching experience.
- Access to a quiet teaching space, stable internet, and a computer with a webcam.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ESL remote teaching.
- Background in education, theater, storytelling, or early childhood development.
- Expressive, creative teaching style.
