In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for members seeking advocate care and support with their health needs. As a member of our remote team, you will work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM EST, and have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Behavioral Health Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with members to understand their health needs, concerns, and goals
  • Reviewing member claim history for accuracy and completeness
  • Explaining member rights and responsibilities, including benefits and claims processes
  • Building trusting relationships with members through active listening, empathy, and effective communication
  • Performing financial data maintenance, including updating member records and processing claims
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve member issues and concerns
  • Staying up-to-date on industry developments, policies, and procedures to provide informed support to members

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or behavioral health setting
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in behavioral health, medical, or insurance settings

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or healthcare administration
  • Certification in a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Behavioral Health Specialist (CBHS)
