Field Service Technician - Industrial Machinery (CNC/Laser)

If you enjoy working hands‑on with industrial equipment, solving complex problems, and being on the move, this role is for you. We’re seeking a Field Service Technician – Industrial Machinery to support customers in the field by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing heavy manufacturing equipment. This is a home‑based role with extensive travel, ideal for technicians who enjoy hands‑on work, independence, and supporting customers onsite. Technicians work directly with customers, troubleshooting issues and performing scheduled maintenance while representing the company professionally in the field. ➡️A company vehicle and structured, paid training are provided. What's the Job:

  • Schedule, prioritize, and complete on‑site service calls for customers
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on press brakes and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Support customers in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules
  • Accurately document service activities to support billing and service records
  • Maintain company tools, vehicle, and equipment for safe and reliable operation
  • Manage travel expenses responsibly while working independently in the field

What is Needed:

  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight 75% or more
  • Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset
  • Comfort using a laptop, service software, and documentation tools

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladders
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools, controls, and equipment
  • Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Occasional exposure to loud industrial environments
  • This is a high‑travel field‑based position
