Senior PHP/Laravel Developer (+Shopify)
Decima Digital builds commerce systems that power global brands. We’re on the hunt for an experienced PHP / Laravel Developer to join our fully remote crew. We’re looking for someone who takes immense pride in writing clean, high-performing code and who communicates clearly and effectively. Your day-to-day execution will focus on two core areas: New Delivery: Developing new application backends, complex integrations, and ETL processes that connect e-commerce and enterprise systems. Support & Optimization: Enhancing and supporting existing solutions to serve evolving client needs You will: Build new Laravel applications that drive high-impact websites and web apps Enhance and optimize existing Laravel projects to support evolving client needs Develop integrations with e-commerce systems (e.g., Shopify) Contribute to frontend components when needed Work closely with project managers, developers, and client teams across the full project lifecycle This position works directly with team members, project managers, and client personnel throughout the project lifecycle - from project kick-off through deployment - gathering requirements and developing solutions to meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
Develop new Laravel apps: Create applications that power top-tier websites and web apps Enhance existing projects: Modify and optimize current Laravel systems to better serve evolving client needs Backend opportunities: Build cool Laravel integrations that seamlessly integrate with enterprise e-commerce systems such as Shopify Multifaceted projects: Tackle a mix of both routine and exciting tasks to support our talented team and diverse client base Requirements Bachelor’s degree specializing in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of PHP development with knowledge of the Laravel framework At least 2 years of Node.js development experience At least 2 years of experience in Ecommerce web development At least 1 year of experience in the Shopify Plus platform Strong proficiency in relational databases, particularly MySQL React experience a plus Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues Working knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus Strong Git and GitHub knowledge 6 hours of your daily work hours must overlap with US Central Time zone business hours (8am - 5pm CT) We offer Work on enterprise commerce systems for global brands Supportive, transparent, and collaborative team culture Competitive compensation and fully remote flexibility Project duration: 3 months initially with the possibility of prolongation We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
