What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Bill all Medicare claims accurately and in compliance with regulations
- Review and analyze unpaid claims, determining action steps for follow-up
- Process and resolve Medicare denials and resubmit corrections as needed
- Manage Medicare credit balances and ensure accurate resolution
- Participate in departmental education regarding Medicare standards and billing requirements
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Medicare billing
- Previous experience in Medicare follow-up and/or denials processing
- Familiarity with office procedures and a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous experience in hospital patient accounts
- Knowledge of Meditech software
- Strong organizational skills and other computer skills
