Billing Specialist (US Accounting)

Job Description: Job Summary The Accounting Assistant is a crucial member of the Finance and Accounting Team supporting the function with billing, invoicing, reconciliation and other assigned tasks. Responsibilities / Essential FunctionsKeep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data Preparation of sales invoices and sending it to clients Reconcile the receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted Initiate and follow up with customers via email or phone regarding collecting outstanding balances due, uncover disputes and resolve payment delay issues Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding accounts Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status Research and resolve payment discrepancies Client management Time: 11 AM to 7 PM Location: Remote (Anywhere from India) RequirementsBachelor's in finance, Accounting or Equivalent. At least 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience Fluent English communication skills Excellent Client communication skills Good Team Player Highly motivated & self-driven with a proven ability to perform multi-tasking Achieving assigned Deadlines Never give up attitude Excellent attention to detail Work and Physical Requirements This position may work from home and/or office environment. Working in an office environment may require prolonged sitting, work in an air-conditioned environment, ability to work with others at various noise levels and ability to lift up to 30 pounds or 15 kg.
