The Business Development Manager will primarily be responsible for selling specific Fender Brands product lines into allocated sales areas whilst maintaining effective account management for all customers. They will be expected to be a product evangelist with a keen eye for detail, using data to recognise opportunities for commercial achievement. The Business Development Manager will manage the end-to-end relationship between a dealer and the Fender Business, liaising with and owning the relationship and communications to and from all internal departments. Main Responsibilities Make regular sales calls to accounts in the assigned area and keep in contact between visits by telephone, zoom and e-mail. Strive to achieve budgeted sales targets for the allocated sales area. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and potential new clients. Responsible for all visual merchandising and product representation in-store and online to comply with company requirements and regulations. Responsible via all channels for assisting the development of product knowledge and training to retail account staff on Company brands using Academy and in store visits. Maintain control of dealers’ stock and open orders, ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, new products are presented and exit strategies for discontinued products implemented. Monitor and assist dealer accounts on promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to. Maintain a high level of product knowledge for the relevant product lines being sold. Essential skills and experience Proven experience within a sales environment Knowledge of the Musical Instrument Industry Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritise work and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent organisational skills. Driving licence. Multi Lingual French /Spanish/Portuguese (ideally) Good to have: Experience within a field sales role. Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation. Knowledge of FMIC product lines.
