Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - Rehab Services, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Your primary focus will be on handling patient business activity, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, pre-certifications, referrals, and billing. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication, efficient processes, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals via phone, email, and in-person interactions

  • Handle patient business activity, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, pre-certifications, referrals, and billing
  • Manage patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely communication of patient information
  • Resolve patient complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and communication
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry developments and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the department

Requirements

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Less than 1 Year of experience in a clerical/administrative role, with a preference for experience in insurance or customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required at some locations within 90 days of hire
  • State of Florida licensure requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

* 1-2 years of prior experience in a customer service or insurance-related role

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient care and support
  • Certification in medical terminology, coding, or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
