As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our patients and members receive the highest level of service and support.

Job Summary

We're seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our Laboratory Billing Services Department on a temporary, full-time basis. This is a 3-4 month assignment, working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm. As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling incoming calls from patients and members, addressing issues related to eligibility, plan benefits, claim payments, and patient services. You'll provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle incoming calls from patients and members, addressing issues related to: + Member eligibility + Plan prescription benefits + Claim payment issues + Patient services needs, such as: - Updating billing information - Establishing payment plans - Resolving payment inquiries - Patient scheduling

  • Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
  • Utilize knowledge of medical insurance and laboratory billing to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry skills
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

  • Two years of Customer Service experience (Required)
  • Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically Laboratory preferred
  • Experience registering patients preferred
  • High Volume call center experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a similar role at a healthcare organization

  • Knowledge of laboratory billing and medical insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Experience with scheduling software and systems
