Learn more about our culture and career opportunities at www.DiscoverEHL.com (http://www.DiscoverEHL.com) Job Summary: The Government Insuring Coordinator reviews and submits closed loan files for insuring, remits upfront premium or funding fee with FHA, VA and USDA within agency required time frames and submit files for post endorsement review. Obtains MIC, LGC and LNG after insuring and provide necessary reporting to monitor all loans insured. Updates Encompass with critical dates on wires sent, insuring completed and date received insurance certificate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and insure FHA, VA and USDA closed loans
  • Prepare case binders for FHA and VA loans
  • Correct minor data errors that would prevent a loan from being insured with FHA, VA and USDA.
  • Perform pre-endorsement review of government loans to include entering and validating loan level data within the web based FHA and VA insuring systems
  • Obtain and correct documentation necessary to complete insuring package.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting to management of closed loans to be insured by loan type.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of premiums to be wired to FHA, VA and USDA.
  • Wire UFMIP to FHA and VA Funding Fee to VA within 7 days of closing.
  • Responsible for obtaining and tracking outstanding Mortgage Insurance Certificate (MIC), Loan Guaranty Certificate (LGC), and Loan Note Guarantee (LNG) within the established time frame.
  • Respond to and reconcile audit requests and deficiency letters from HUD, VA and USDA
  • Support internal and external customers on insuring questions or concerns.
  • Perform general post-closing functions as needed
  • Remain current with all company, investor, FHA, VA and USDA guidelines and requirements relevant to insuring.
  • Update and maintain procedure manuals.
  • Complete critical dates in Encompass to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Cross train staff within Post Closing department on the insuring functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
