Software Engineer III 1000 Alderman Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30005 JOB DESCRIPTION: Innovate process improvements that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent direction. Research available tools and lead or participate in initiatives to identify and implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Identify areas for cooperation with other teams to improve overall quality and, with peers or others, implement initiatives improving testing capability and efficiency. Configure, maintain, and/or administer testing tools or environments. Develop and execute automated and performance testing for assigned projects to successfully and consistently enable delivery of high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification. Interact with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards. Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. Plan and execute automated and performance tests working with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts. Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly. Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders. Research available tools and participate in initiatives to implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Identify opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs. Research and identify root causes of performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, and network and system engineers. Maintain awareness of the state of the industry and evaluate emerging trends/ developments that may benefit the organization. Conduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implementing procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverables. Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits. Work across teams to enhance quality assurance/testing and help to develop/execute performance and automation testing throughout the business as appropriate. Identify areas for improvement and, with leadership, peers, or others, implement initiatives improving overall capability and efficiency. Ensure results of root cause analyses are addressed. Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. Perform other duties as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required. 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required. Also required is: 1 year of experience in: using MYSQL to write complex queries using different joints, sub queries, and nested queries and fine-tune long-running queries for efficient data retrieval; using Object Oriented concepts to design services and interfaces; developing applications to help process customer requests using JAVA/J2EE; developing microservices and java modules, implementing business rules and workflows using Spring Framework and Spring Boot; using Microservice architecture to break down monolith applications into smaller independent parts, with each part having its own responsibility; designing, developing, and implementing software solutions based on requirements; applied appropriate data structures to develop efficient and scalable software solutions; utilizing software testing methods, including unit and integration testing, to identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects; utilizing containerization technologies like Docker to package microservices, and employ orchestration tools like Kubernetes for efficient deployment, scaling, and management; writing and optimizing Dockerfiles to improve build efficiency; creating and managing Docker images and containers; implementing and maintaining Helm charts for Azure-based Kubernetes workloads; implementing HashiCorp Vault integration with Kubernetes and containerized Docker workloads to securely retrieve and inject dynamic secrets at runtime; creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deploying microservices, enabling rapid and reliable releases; using Application Insights to enable centralized logging for applications deployed in Azure; and using Maven and Gradle for building, and managing dependencies. Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA but may telecommute from any location within the U.S. Experience can be concurrent. SALARY RANGE FOR REQ# R114356: $89,001 to $105,100/year + standard company benefits This salary range is specifically for REQ# R114356. Salary range listed below is general and covers all similar positions in the area and should not be considered for this specific position. U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300.
