Fractional Senior Full Stack Engineer (Stabilization / AI-Generated Code) Location: Remote (LATAM & Eastern Europe) Type: Contract / Fractional (10–40 hrs/week)
Overview
We’re hiring a senior, hands-on engineer to support multiple early-stage products that need stabilization. Most projects were built quickly by non-technical founders using AI tools. As a result, codebases are often incomplete, inconsistent, or fragile. This role is focused on reviewing, fixing, and stabilizing existing systems not just building new features. What You’ll Do Review and assess existing codebases (often AI-generated or founder-built) Identify bugs, structural issues, and technical risks Refactor and stabilize applications for production use Improve performance, structure, and maintainability Fill gaps in core functionality (auth, payments, backend logic) Implement lightweight QA / testing where needed Collaborate with engineers, QA, and project leads Work across multiple projects as priorities shift What We’re Looking For 5+ years of full stack experience Strong experience working in messy / inherited codebases Comfortable operating without full documentation Proven ability to take products from MVP → stable product Practical, solution-oriented mindset (not theoretical) Strong communication and team collaboration Comfortable in fast-moving, delivery-focused environments Tech Stack (Flexible) Python (FastAPI, Django) - preferred Node.js / TypeScript React / Next.js Firebase, Supabase, or similar APIs & modern web architectures Flexibility > specialization Engagement Model Fractional, hourly 10–40 hrs/week depending on project load Initial engagements ~4 weeks Ongoing work across multiple client projects Apply To This Job
