In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and healthcare facilities. About the Position: As a Virtual Medical Assistant at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while navigating complex healthcare systems. You'll serve as a liaison between various stakeholders, including providers, facilities, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, and patients. Your primary goal will be to ensure that patients receive timely and accurate information, while also facilitating efficient communication between healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Liaison: You'll act as a bridge between patients, providers, and healthcare facilities, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on patient care and treatment plans.
  • Triage and Respond to Inbound Requests: You'll receive and respond to phone calls and electronic messages from patients, providers, and other stakeholders, prioritizing urgent and critical issues.
  • Virtual Care Activities: You'll assist with gathering and documenting medical history, medication refills, and test result communication, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely information.
  • Provider Scheduling and Patient Preparation: You'll help maintain provider schedules and prepare patients and charts for telehealth encounters, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all parties involved.
  • Outpatient Registration and Scheduling: You'll manage outpatient registration, appointment scheduling, referrals to specialists, and patient portal administration, streamlining the patient experience and reducing wait times.
  • Authorization and Referral Management: You'll authorize services, equipment, and medications as needed, ensuring that patients receive the care they require while also adhering to arenaflex's policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: You'll perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or the arenaflex leadership team. Requirements:
  • Education: You must possess a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Medical Assisting Diploma/Certificate: You must have a Medical Assisting Diploma/Certificate from an accredited training program.
  • Experience: You must have at least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Certification: You must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized organization. Nice-to-Haves:
  • Primary Care Medical Group Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary Care Medical Group office would be highly beneficial, as would recent medication refill experience.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS) would be an asset in this role. Benefits:
