They are seeking Associate Application Support Engineers to support a broad range of business-critical applications essential to the Council's operations. The role involves troubleshooting, incident resolution, and supporting application maintenance in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Assist with application troubleshooting
  • Contribute to system monitoring and performance activities
  • Support configuration, maintenance, and upgrade activities across a wide range of applications and platforms
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to implement changes, test updates, and help maintain secure and compliant systems

Skills

  • Some experience supporting applications, IT systems, or digital services
  • The ability to troubleshoot issues and work through problems logically
  • Experience working in a structured environment where accuracy and attention to detail are important
  • The ability to manage their own workload, with support where needed
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical teams and business users
  • Experience may have been gained through previous roles, education, or hands-on exposure to systems and technologies, but candidates should be comfortable working in a live support environment and contributing to service delivery
  • Proof of Right to work in the UK will be required for all applicants in accordance with UK Home Office requirements, before any employment offer can be confirmed
