Citrin Cooperman is a consulting firm specializing in advisory services, and they are seeking a Consultant in Data Analytics & AI. This entry-level role involves supporting the design and delivery of analytics and AI solutions to help clients better utilize their data, while working alongside senior practitioners to enhance technical skills and understanding of business value creation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of data analytics solutions aligned with client business needs
- Support the build-out of ETL/ELT pipelines and data models using Microsoft Fabric and related tools
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and reporting
- Contribute to Power BI report and dashboard development, including data modeling and DAX
- Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across client environments
- Develop familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI as core delivery platforms
- Support the configuration and testing of cloud data workflows under senior guidance
- Stay current on Microsoft Fabric innovations, AI Copilot features, and emerging data capabilities
- Participate in client meetings and help track open items and action lists
- Assist in translating technical findings into clear documentation and presentation materials
- Build relationships with client contacts under the direction of project leads
- Contribute to project workstreams with a focus on quality, timeliness, and attention to detail
- Assist with documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer artifacts
- Proactively flag risks or blockers to project leads
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional services environment
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
- 0 to 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related technical role; internship or academic project experience is considered
- Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to present ideas concisely
- Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced consulting environment with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer), or DP-900 (Azure Data Fundamentals) are a plus, not a requirement
- Exposure to data governance concepts, ETL workflows, or AI-powered analytics through coursework or self-study
- Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in a consulting, analytics, or technology environment is a differentiator
- Exposure to Python for data analysis is a plus
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric, is preferred
