SAP Business Intelligence Developer (Remote Job)

The Department of Enterprise Applications (DEA) Reporting and Analytics Team is requesting the services of a senior consultant to assist in the design and development of Business Objects dashboards and reports in the SAP environment. The consultant will provide technical analysis and expertise to optimize universes and data structures; coordinate the development of functional specifications; design and develop requested reports and dashboards in a quality manner; create detailed documentation that facilitates the use and future modification of these reports and dashboards; and provide extensive knowledge transfer sessions for IT and business users in the use of Business Objects tools and techniques. The State of SC has implemented the following modules of SAP across all state agencies: FI, FM, HR, Payroll, SRM, CRM, Treasury Management, BW, and Business Objects. The consultant will design, develop, edit, and maintain queries using Business Objects tools and techniques to support reporting requirements and data integration tasks across a broad spectrum of applications and uses. The consultant will coordinate activities with DEA to ensure decisions, recommendations, and work products follow best practices and established standards. * Remote Responsibilities: o Interact with DEA personnel and agencies to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate them into proposed business intelligence applications and reporting solutions. o Coordinate with DEA personnel and agencies to design, develop, and maintain complex business intelligence reporting and analytical solutions using various Business Objects tools and techniques. o Create and present prototypes to users as well as propose alternative solutions to legacy reports using different technologies and development techniques. o Create requirements documents for approval by system owners and business users to be used in the development of reports and dashboards. o Model, design, develop, test, and implement approved solutions in accordance with business reporting requirements. o Provide daily support of the existing Business Objects reports and universes with a focus on performing root cause analysis and finding ways to increase efficiencies, improve user satisfaction, and reduce cost/time to maintain. o Perform optimization reviews to consistently improve the universes, data structures, and to improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability, and value. o Create detailed documentation, including data dictionaries, during the creation or modification of universes, reports, and dashboards. o Assist business users in downloading and using data from Business Warehouse and Business Objects data to Crystal reports, dashboards, Excel, etc., for analysis and dissemination to internal and external users. o Serve as a subject matter expert assisting STO with defining and developing treasury management, debt management, and investment management reports. o Work with DEA personnel and agencies to determine the best approach to publish new dashboards to agency websites to promote transparency and access to information by the public. o Work with DEA and DTO personnel to design, test, and implement a database to allow for the merging of SCEIS and Non-SCEIS data for the purposes of generating Business Objects reports and dashboards. o Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and analytics needs o Manage Tableau Server/Online environments, including architecting, upgrading, publishing, security, user access, and data source management o Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Microsoft SSIS, Azure Synapse, etc Qualifications: o 5+ Years of Experience with Business Objects architecture and components, and the design of complex web intelligence reports and dashboards. o 5+ Years of Experience with design and development of business intelligence applications and reporting solutions in an SAP environment. o 5+ Years of Experience developing complex web intelligence reports, dashboards, Crystal Reports. o 5+ Years of Tableau Administration experience o 3+ Years of Experience in the Public Sector o Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Skills: o Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have a working knowledge of SCEIS and existing state reporting requirements and standards. o Experience with Microsoft SSIS (ETL Development and Data Integration) Skills: Best Practices, Business Development, Business Intelligence, Consulting, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Data Structures, Enterprise Applications, Knowledge Transfer, Reporting Dashboards, Reporting Skills, Requirements Management, SAP, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI), SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Technical Analysis, Technical Consulting, Treasury Management, United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Work From Home About the Company: State of South Carolina- DEA Excelraise is a leader in consulting and technology.
