  • Tool Development & Support: Create, update, and support scripts and workflows for timing analysis tools such as NanoTime, PathMill, and HSPICE.
  • Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with digital and analog designers to ensure that their schematics meet functional, timing, power, and signal‑integrity goals.
  • Process Documentation: Produce clear, concise documentation, specifications, and test plans that capture methodology and results for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Issue Diagnosis: Partner with verification engineers to troubleshoot timing‑related problems, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to existing data‑entry processes, automation scripts, and verification flows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members on best practices for data handling, script development, and tool usage.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor timing analysis, verification, or CAD engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience with timing analysis concepts such as Static Timing Analysis (STA) and clock‑tree synthesis.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, TCL, or similar) for automation of data‑entry and verification tasks.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard tools like NanoTime, PathMill, HSPICE, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex circuit data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly to cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with custom circuit design flows, including dynamic circuit techniques, memory architectures, and netlist generation.
  • Knowledge of power‑analysis methodologies and low‑power design techniques.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a part‑time schedule.
  • Passion for staying current with emerging semiconductor technologies and industry trends.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Detail‑Oriented: Meticulous attention to data accuracy and documentation quality.
  • Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset that fosters strong relationships with designers, verification engineers, and tool developers.
