Gray Duck Art is a small, creative startup specializing in custom paint-by-number kits featuring people’s beloved pets. Every design is hand-drawn by our team of real artists, because we believe in supporting true craftsmanship. We ship our kits nationwide, inspiring pet lovers everywhere to pick up a brush and get creative. Who We’re Looking For: -An artist that can transform a photo into paint by number outlines that includes highlights, lowlights, and key details without ai. And number them... efficiently. Think of a posterized picture but add a real artist behind it. Digitally tracing over a posterized pet image is a great starting spot. More about our company at grayduckart.com. -A digital artist already capable of producing work at the level we are at. -Ability to work quickly, meet deadlines, and adapt to fluctuating workloads -Comfortable working alone with little to no supervision. -Flexible availability, especially during Q4 holiday season -U.S.-based. Deadline expectations: -Quick turnarounds are the norm, sometimes within 48 hours. With that said, you‘ll pick your normal schedule. -We have a very slim tolerance for drawings that are late. Tools: -You must be able to draw digitally using Procreate/illustrator or similar software. -Absolutely no AI, we support and employ real artists only. -Dropbox knowledge This role will fit you if: -You’re an introvert or love independent, heads-down work -You thrive on flexibility -You want to be part of a team that values artistry over meetings How to Apply: We will only consider applicants who submit a pet drawing/painting. Please submit: 1. Digital line drawing of any dog or cat you'd like (any color lines are fine), paint-by-number style (with lines and numbers) Handwritten numbers (as opposed to typed) are encouraged! 2. Finished version of that same drawing, digitally colored in 3.
