With a legacy of more than a century in delivering compassionate care, arenaflex blends cutting‑edge technology with a human‑first approach to ensure that every patient receives the right medication, the right information, and the right support—whether they walk into a store, call a helpline, or interact online. As a remote‑first employer, arenaflex is expanding its virtual workforce to bring the same level of excellence to home‑based professionals who are eager to make a tangible impact on patient lives.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving health‑care environment, accurate data entry is the backbone of safe pharmacy operations. Our Remote Data Entry Specialists play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of patient records, processing prescription refills, and supporting pharmacy teams across the country. By joining arenaflex, you become part of a mission‑driven organization that values precision, empathy, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will work from the comfort of your home office, handling high‑volume patient enrollment, medication data entry, and communication with both patients and prescribers. You will operate under clear guidelines, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and senior staff to resolve complex cases and ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter patient enrollment information, prescription details, and medication histories into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process refill requests, top‑off orders, and medication changes while strictly following HIPAA and internal compliance protocols.
  • Interpret and decode prescription abbreviations (SIG codes) and resolve any missing or unclear data by contacting prescribers or patients as needed.
  • Handle inbound patient communications—phone calls, emails, and chat messages—providing courteous, knowledgeable assistance and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Initiate outbound outreach to prescribers, guarantors, and patients to verify information, obtain authorizations, or clarify prescription details.
  • Collaborate with on‑site and remote pharmacy technicians to troubleshoot data discrepancies and support medication dispensing workflows.
  • Document all interactions and updates in the system, ensuring a complete audit trail for regulatory and quality‑control purposes.
  • Maintain a dynamic specialist certification within the first 90 days and keep the credential current throughout employment.
  • Identify and flag “exception cases” that require additional review, providing detailed notes for senior staff to take appropriate action.
  • Continuously improve personal performance by meeting productivity targets (e.g., records per hour) and participating in ongoing training sessions.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education in health‑care administration is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency: ability to start/shut down a PC, navigate using a mouse, open/close applications, save and print documents, and access online resources.
  • Fundamental internet navigation skills: entering URLs, using search engines, bookmarking pages, and moving through web pages with back/forward controls.
  • Intermediate typing speed of at least 25 words per minute with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to patients and team members.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, preferably in a call‑center or customer‑service setting.
  • Experience with pharmacy licensing or certification processes, such as state board registration.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet higher typing benchmarks (e.g., 35+ WPM) and produce error‑free documentation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enabling you to serve a diverse patient population.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or pharmacy management software.
  • Track record of delivering high‑quality customer service, meeting service‑level agreements, and maintaining compliance with health‑care regulations.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies in medication data and correct them before they affect patient safety.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of HIPAA, state pharmacy regulations, and arenaflex’s internal compliance standards.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactively identify data gaps, ask clarifying questions, and resolve issues without unnecessary escalation.
  • Communication: Clear, empathetic, and professional interaction with patients, prescribers, and internal teams.
  • Time Management: Efficiently handle high‑volume workloads while maintaining quality standards.
  • Technology Adaptability: Quick learner of new software tools, updates, and workflow changes.

  • Clear career pathways that can lead to roles such as Pharmacy Operations Analyst, Remote Pharmacy Technician, or Customer Experience Supervisor.
  • Eligibility for internal mobility programs, allowing you to transition to other departments (e.g., compliance, quality assurance, or health‑care analytics) as your interests evolve.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25 to $35, reflective of experience and performance. In addition to base pay, you can expect:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options with employer contributions.
  • Retirement savings plans (401(k) with matching contributions).
