Your work will directly influence how our engineers, product managers, and business leaders make data‑driven choices that shape the future of AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of user event data with high reliability and low latency.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and data lakes (e.g., S3, HDFS) to ensure data is readily accessible for analytics, machine‑learning, and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with research, product, security, finance, and marketing teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Implement scalable ETL/ELT workflows using modern orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect, ensuring pipelines are fault‑tolerant and well‑monitored.
  • Enforce data governance standards, guaranteeing data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations and arenaflex’s internal policies.
  • Optimize performance of data processing jobs on distributed frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and ensure cost‑effective use of cloud resources.
  • Participate in data modeling and schema design, translating business metrics into reliable, query‑able structures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering best practices within the data team.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions that keep arenaflex at the cutting edge of data engineering.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Hands‑on experience with distributed processing platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Flink) and storage systems (e.g., HDFS, Amazon S3).
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines using orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with security best practices for data handling.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting complex data pipelines and optimizing performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or advanced coursework in data science, big data analytics, or related fields.
  • Experience working in AI‑focused environments, particularly with large language models or generative AI.
  • Knowledge of streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis) and real‑time analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or ISO 27001.
  • Previous exposure to collaborative product development cycles, working closely with data scientists and product managers.
  • Contributions to open‑source data engineering projects or active participation in the data community.
