About arenaflex – Pioneering Autism Support Across the Nation

arenaflex is a leading provider of evidence‑based autism services, delivering compassionate, family‑centered care to children and adults across multiple states. Since our founding in 2014, we have built a reputation for excellence by combining rigorous Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies with a deep respect for the unique strengths and needs of each client. Our mission is to empower individuals on the autism spectrum and their families to achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Operating in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Colorado, Illinois, Texas, and Massachusetts, arenaflex partners with families, schools, and community agencies to create tailored intervention plans that promote meaningful skill development. We believe that lasting change happens when therapy is delivered in natural environments—most often in the child’s own home—where learning can be woven into everyday routines.

Why This Role Matters

As a Behavior Therapist – ABA with arenaflex, you will be at the front line of our mission, providing one‑on‑one, in‑home ABA therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Your work will directly influence the progress of each client, helping them acquire communication, social, and daily living skills while supporting families in navigating the complexities of autism care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized, evidence‑based ABA therapy sessions (1:1) in the client’s home, following treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collect accurate data on target behaviors, skill acquisition, and session progress, ensuring fidelity to the ABA protocol.
  • Implement discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, and behavior support strategies as outlined in each client’s program.
  • Collaborate closely with a BCBA supervisor to refine intervention techniques, discuss data trends, and adjust goals as needed.
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with families, answering questions, providing updates, and offering guidance on generalization of skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism by arriving on time, preparing materials in advance, and adhering to ethical standards of confidentiality and client safety.
  • Adapt to flexible scheduling demands, including morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, to meet the varied needs of families.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or progress toward a degree) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct work with children in a 1:1 setting, including at least 1 year of ABA experience. Candidates without formal ABA experience may qualify if they have 1–2 years as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism support staff, Teacher’s Assistant, or ABA Tutor.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal abilities, with the capacity to convey complex concepts in a clear, compassionate manner.
  • Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel to client homes.

Preferred Qualifications & Professional Development

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to pursue certification with arenaflex support.
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Plans (CBIP) for youth and families.
  • Interest in advancing toward a BCBA credential; arenaflex offers university partnerships, supervision, practicum opportunities, and tuition discounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative ties with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data‑driven mindset: proficiency in recording, analyzing, and interpreting behavioral data.
  • Behavioral intervention expertise: familiarity with reinforcement schedules, prompting hierarchies, and extinction procedures.
  • Empathy and patience: ability to build rapport with children who may have limited communication skills.
  • Problem‑solving: quick thinking to adjust strategies in real‑time based on client responses.
  • Organizational skills: managing session materials, documentation, and scheduling efficiently.
  • Physical stamina: capacity to lift up to 35 lbs, kneel, squat, and move quickly within a 100‑foot radius during sessions.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and transport equipment or client‑related materials up to 35 lbs.
  • Perform fine and gross motor activities, including bending, kneeling, squatting, and sitting on the floor or in a chair.
  • Respond promptly to sudden movements or behaviors of children within a short distance (approximately 100 feet).
  • Work comfortably in both indoor and outdoor environments, adapting to varying weather conditions.

Compensation, Benefits, and Incentives

arenaflex offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $20 per hour, with increases based on experience, performance, and additional certifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Performance‑based bonuses and incentive programs.
