  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data work (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as query languages such as SQL, Presto/Trino, or Druid.
  • Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with distributed storage concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Pulsar.
  • Knowledge of data‑quality frameworks and automated testing for data pipelines.
  • Previous involvement in open‑source projects or contributions to internal tooling.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for remote collaboration across time zones.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies and ensure data integrity across massive datasets.
  • Problem‑Solving: Comfortable tackling ambiguous challenges and devising pragmatic solutions.
  • Teamwork: Thrive in a distributed, cross‑functional environment, building strong relationships with engineers, product owners, and operations teams.
  • Adaptability: Quickly learn new tools, languages, and processes as the data ecosystem evolves.
  • Self‑Management: Proven track record of delivering high‑quality work in a remote setting with minimal supervision.

  • Mentorship programs with senior data engineers and architects.
  • Internal training courses covering advanced topics such as distributed systems design, cloud data warehousing, and machine‑learning pipelines.
