Why This Role Matters

As an Entry‑Level Electronics Hardware Engineer at arenaflex, you will be the bridge between concept and reality. You’ll work closely with senior architects, product managers, and end‑users to translate hardware requirements into detailed schematics, prototype boards, and test plans. Your contributions will directly influence the reliability, performance, and cost‑effectiveness of the next generation of electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior architects and client stakeholders to gather and clarify hardware requirements, ensuring that design specifications align with real‑world usage scenarios.
  • Take ownership of hardware projects from initial concept through detailed design, layout, assembly, testing, and documentation.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to develop accurate bill‑of‑materials (BOM) and component selections.
  • Design and simulate analog and digital circuits using industry‑standard tools, validating functionality at the component level before moving to prototype.
  • Assist the design team in creating manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and test procedures for new products.
  • Perform hands‑on prototyping, including PCB layout, soldering, and functional testing of hardware modules.
  • Document design decisions, test results, and revision histories in clear, concise technical reports.
  • Provide technical support to cross‑functional teams, addressing hardware‑related inquiries and troubleshooting issues that arise during integration.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge of emerging components, design methodologies, and software tools to keep arenaflex at the technological forefront.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Foundations: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong PC skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Design Tools Experience: Familiarity with PCB layout software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar platforms.
  • Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of embedded C programming for microcontroller‑based firmware development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent listening and problem‑solving abilities, capable of translating client feedback into actionable design improvements.
  • Self‑Starter Attitude: Demonstrated initiative and ownership of tasks, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Knowledge of power supply design, including linear and switching regulators.
  • Experience with communication interfaces (USB, SPI, I²C) and protocol analysis.
  • Exposure to firmware development cycles, including version control (Git) and unit testing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, CE, FCC, or UL certifications.
  • Prior involvement in product lifecycle management (PLM) or configuration management systems.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex hardware problems into manageable components and devise logical solutions.
  • Detail Orientation: Precision in creating schematics, BOMs, and documentation to avoid costly errors in production.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams across different time zones.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to pivot quickly when project priorities shift or new technical challenges emerge.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with evolving electronic components, design trends, and software updates.
