You will be responsible for the physical deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise‑grade servers, networking gear, and cabling systems that power the arenaflex Cloud Framework. Your work ensures that our customers experience uninterrupted, high‑speed access to critical applications and data, directly contributing to the company’s reputation for reliability and innovation.

Role Overview

This full‑time, 10‑hour shift position (four days a week, including weekends and holidays) offers a dynamic blend of hands‑on hardware work, troubleshooting, and collaborative project execution. You will work closely with internal cloud service owners, network engineers, and senior on‑site staff to maintain a world‑class data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Installation & Rack Assembly: Install, configure, and rack enterprise servers, storage arrays, and networking devices. Perform precise cable management, power connections, and hand‑off to provisioning teams.
  • Break/Fix & FRU Replacement: Diagnose hardware failures, replace faulty Field‑Replaceable Units (FRUs), and verify system integrity after repairs.
  • Network & Telecom Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve telecom availability problems, replace and configure enterprise switches, and maintain fiber/copper link integrity.
  • Documentation & SOP Management: Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work logs for all activities.
  • Infrastructure Power & Cooling: Install, test, and repair power distribution units (PDUs), UPS systems, and cooling infrastructure to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Track inventory levels, request and receive server components, and maintain accurate records in the internal asset management system.
  • Incident Response & On‑Call Support: Provide rapid on‑site response to critical incidents, escalating to senior staff when necessary, and participate in after‑hours on‑call rotations.
  • Project Execution: Lead small‑scale projects independently and collaborate with managers on larger, multi‑phase initiatives that enhance data center efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training programs, share knowledge with peers, and contribute ideas that close skill gaps and drive technological advancement.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an IT or data‑center environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with server hardware, rack & stack procedures, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware failures, performing FRU replacements, and conducting root‑cause analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data‑center concepts such as power distribution, cooling, and structured cabling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to document processes clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility to work a 4‑day, 10‑hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently on small tasks and collaboratively on larger projects.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with structured copper/fiber cabling, link testing, and cable labeling standards.
  • Knowledge of server operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows Server) and boot loaders (GRUB).
  • Familiarity with SAN, NAS, and storage networking concepts.
  • Understanding of network protocols, VLANs, and trunking configurations.
  • Experience with inventory management tools and procurement processes for data‑center components.
  • Certification such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar is a plus.
  • Ability to respond to on‑site emergencies via phone and resolve issues promptly.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in internal training aligned with corporate goals.
