About arenaflex

arenaflex is a global leader in financial services and innovative customer experience solutions. With a heritage of more than a century, we have continuously reinvented the way consumers, businesses, and service providers interact with their financial world. Our mission is to deliver first‑class experiences every day, built on a foundation of integrity, inclusion, and relentless curiosity. As we expand our Voice of the Customer (VoC) capabilities, we are looking for passionate data professionals who want to shape the future of insight‑driven decision making.

Why This Role Matters

At arenaflex, the Voice of the Customer program processes over 5 million surveys each year, spanning more than 20 countries and 10 languages. The insights derived from these surveys drive product innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth. As a Senior Statistics Architect, you will be the architect of the data pipelines, analytics platforms, and statistical models that turn raw survey responses into actionable intelligence for our global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Platform Design & Implementation: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data architectures on the Cornerstone Big Data Platform, leveraging Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and Python.
  • Voice of Customer Integration: Collaborate with product owners, Qualtrics engineers, and agile technology squads to integrate VoC data streams into our analytics ecosystem.
  • Statistical Modeling & Reporting: Build and refine statistical models, metric definitions, and dashboards that enable real‑time and batch analytics for business stakeholders.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Establish automated testing frameworks, data validation routines, and governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Performance Optimization: Tune large‑scale data processing jobs for speed and cost‑efficiency, applying best practices in Spark, Hive, and Python scripting.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with the GSG, GABM, GCS, GSN, and AET teams to prioritize analytics use cases, translate business requirements into technical deliverables, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Automation & Tooling: Develop reusable automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions to accelerate delivery cycles and reduce manual effort.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers and data analysts, fostering a culture of learning, curiosity, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Live Chat & Data Entry Support (Remote): Occasionally assist the Customer Listening Team with real‑time data entry and live‑chat monitoring to ensure survey integrity and rapid issue resolution.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (Hive, HDFS, MapReduce) and Spark (PySpark).
  • Proficiency in Python programming, including data manipulation libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines and data models.
  • Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) and integrating survey data into analytics environments.
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and experience working in Scrum or Kanban teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) for creating executive‑level dashboards.
  • Prior exposure to large‑scale multilingual survey data and international compliance standards.
  • Certification in Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner) or data engineering (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex datasets, identify patterns, and generate insights that drive business outcomes.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting data pipelines, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in cross‑functional environments and values diverse perspectives.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, ever‑changing technology landscape and embracing new tools and methodologies.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering high‑quality, error‑free data solutions.
  • Customer‑Centric Focus: Understanding of how VoC data influences product strategy and customer satisfaction.
