Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inbound phone support to arenaflex members throughout Arizona, handling a high volume of health‑insurance related inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, and, when necessary, in‑person interactions.
  • Explain contract benefits, coverage changes, eligibility criteria, claims status, arenaflex programs, and provider network details in clear, jargon‑free language.
  • Document every interaction accurately in arenaflex’s CRM and related systems, ensuring that all data is up‑to‑date and compliant with privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external health plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to gather information and achieve resolution.
  • Meet and exceed quality, quantity, and timeliness standards set by the Customer Service department, contributing to both individual and team performance goals.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge of arenaflex policies, procedures, forms, and manuals to provide the most current information to members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of member information at all times, adhering to HIPAA and arenaflex’s internal security protocols.
  • Demonstrate active listening, interpersonal skills, and problem‑solving abilities to achieve high customer satisfaction scores.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a health‑insurance, claims examination, call‑center, medical office, or related customer‑service role.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; additional education in health administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Intermediate proficiency with personal computers, including navigation of multiple software applications, data entry, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compose clear business correspondence and articulate complex policies in simple terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
