Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Voice of Customer Data Architect to join our dynamic Remote Live Chat team based in Costa Rica. In this role, you will be the technical champion behind the Voice of Customer (VoC) platform, driving data‑driven insights, building robust data models, and collaborating closely with product owners, agile engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business analysts and product owners to translate functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store VoC data from multiple sources, including survey platforms and real‑time chat interactions.
• Architect and optimize data models on the arenaflex data lake, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with governance standards.
• Implement batch and streaming analytics solutions using Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, and Python to deliver actionable insights to business users.
• Collaborate with the engineering agility squad to integrate VoC analytics into existing dashboards and reporting tools.
• Lead the creation of automated testing frameworks to validate data quality, lineage, and performance at each stage of the pipeline.
• Mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices in data modeling, ETL development, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements that improve data processing efficiency and reduce latency.
• Support the development of self‑service analytics capabilities, enabling business teams to explore VoC data without heavy reliance on IT.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, schema definitions, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and regulatory compliance.

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Python.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with real‑time streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink) and batch processing workflows.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas, and data warehousing concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile environment, delivering incremental value in two‑week sprints.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish is a plus given the Costa Rica location.

Preferred Qualifications
