What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

  • Engage Directly with Customers: Connect with customers who contact us for a variety of reasons, ranging from helping them shop for their new pet, to finding that perfect chew toy, to problem-solving when something does not go as planned. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience.
  • Research and Problem-Solve: Investigate customer issues thoroughly, think proactively, and determine appropriate solutions. Set follow-ups as needed to ensure complete contact resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate with Empathy and Understanding: Utilize active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness when engaging with both customers and team members. Foster a supportive, respectful communication environment at all times.
  • Embrace Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow. We share feedback openly, receive feedback gracefully, and operate in a culture that values open-mindedness and personal development.

  • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive customer information with the highest level of discretion, following all data protection protocols and company policies.

What You’ll Need: Essential Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting, whether in retail, call center, hospitality, or related fields.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and listening communication skills, which will be assessed during the application process.
  • Multi-Tasking Ability: Proven ability to multi-task effectively, such as maintaining a conversation on the phone while navigating computer systems and taking accurate notes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation through systems, and the ability to search the internet efficiently to find information that helps support customers.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in business needs, policies, and procedures.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to shift schedules and work overtime as needed to support the business unit during high-demand periods.
  • Confidentiality Standards: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information at all times.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Technical and Home Office Requirements

  • Dedicated Work Area: Your work area must be large enough to accommodate computer monitors and free from distractions, including any background noise that could impact the customer experience.
  • Webcam-Friendly Environment: Your work area must be acceptable for webcam use during virtual meetings and training sessions.
  • High-Speed Internet: You must have a reliable, wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. You can verify your internet speed at speedtest.net or by contacting your service provider. This requirement must be met and demonstrated.
  • Equipment Provided: arenaflex will provide everything else you need, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam.
  • Phone Line Not Required: You will not need a traditional phone line. However, you must have a cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify. Acceptable options include a smartphone or tablet on which the Okta mobile app can be downloaded, or a cell phone that can receive SMS messages and phone calls.
