The Opportunity

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our customer experience, connecting with pet parents who need assistance, advice, or simply someone who understands their love for animals. You'll represent arenaflex with empathy, knowledge, and genuine care, making a tangible difference in the lives of both pets and their owners. What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll wear many hats and be the voice of our brand to thousands of customers each month. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage directly with customers who contact us for a variety of topics, from helping them shop for their new pet to finding that perfect chew toy or problem-solving when something doesn't go as planned
  • Research and troubleshoot to determine appropriate solutions for customers, think proactively, and set follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
  • Operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness in all interactions with customers and team members
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in our CRM system
  • Collaborate with teammates across departments to resolve complex issues that require specialized knowledge
  • Stay current on arenaflex products, services, policies, and procedures through continuous learning
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying recurring customer issues and suggesting solutions
  • Utilize virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and other platforms to connect with your team and contribute to our customer-centric culture

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in customer service, phone support, or a related field
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and listening abilities, demonstrated through a comprehensive assessment
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers for data entry, navigation through systems, and internet research
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of maintaining conversations while simultaneously navigating systems and taking detailed notes
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing business needs and evolving customer expectations
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to adapt your schedule and work overtime as required by business needs
  • Confidentiality: Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and secure sensitive customer information
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pet Knowledge: Familiarity with various pet species, their needs, and related products
  • Remote Work Experience: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • E-commerce Experience: Understanding of online shopping processes, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to think critically and resolve complex customer issues independently
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable learning and adapting to new software systems and technologies

Technical Requirements

Since this is a remote position, you'll need to have a suitable home office setup that enables you to provide excellent service without distractions. Here are our technical requirements:

  • Work area must be large enough to accommodate computer monitors and be free from distractions, including any background noise that could impact the customer experience
  • Your workspace must be suitable for webcam use during video conferences and team meetings
  • You must have a reliable wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection (30 Mbps+ download speed / 10Mbps+ upload speed). You can test your internet speed at speedtest.net or contact your service provider to confirm eligibility
  • You'll need to provide your own high-speed internet connection. arenaflex will supply all necessary equipment including computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam
  • A phone line is not required, but you must have a cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify. Options include:
    • A smartphone or tablet on which the Okta mobile app can be downloaded
    • A cell phone that can receive SMS messages and phone calls
