Technical Information Engineer
Babcock International Group is a global FTSE 100 organization focused on creating a safe and secure world. They are seeking a Technical Information Engineer to manage technical documentation and ensure compliance and safety in engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Control and manage technical documents and ASI, ensuring effective configuration and change control
- Assess technical changes to identify safety, engineering, and operational impacts
- Communicate approved changes clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain registers, libraries, and systems supporting technical document control
- Drive continuous improvement of Technical Services processes and performance
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical change clearly
- Confidence engaging with engineers and subject‑matter experts to assess impact and requirements
- A structured, detail‑focused approach to configuration and document control
- Ability to manage priorities independently while working collaboratively across teams
- Completed a relevant technical or vocational qualification (e.g. Advanced Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
