[Remote] Accountant - 32 Hrs/Week | Benefits Eligible | 100% Remote | Pacific Time Zone

They are seeking an Accountant who will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in financial data.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
- Support inventory, fulfillment, and COGS accounting processes
- Support accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding and payment processing
- Reconcile ecommerce and marketplace activity, including Shopify and Amazon transactions
- Assist with 3PL and logistics accounting workflows
- Support bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support sales tax reporting and compliance activities
- Collaborate with operations and external partners to improve accounting processes and controls
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records
Skills
- 3+ years of accounting or general ledger experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and strong financial reporting and analysis skills
- Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
- Experience with ecommerce, inventory, CPG, or consumer products companies preferred
