[Remote] Business Development Specialist (Western US)

The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in creating a qualified pipeline for the Sales organization, responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and advancing early-stage opportunities with Direct Employers and Consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Source and book qualified Discovery Meetings with Direct Employer prospects and Consultant partners
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual meeting targets, including minimum Direct Employer requirements
  • Conduct initial qualification conversations, articulate Quantum Health’s value proposition, and ensure meetings meet 'Qualified Prospect' criteria
  • Attend Discovery Meetings when needed to support progression to Sales Qualified (SQ)
  • Partner with Sales Executives and SAs to set the next steps and confirm opportunity advancement
  • Execute structured outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, Outreach.io campaigns) to build a predictable pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Build and maintain territory coverage aligned to GTM strategy, segment criteria, and assigned account lists
  • Identify, research, and prioritize target accounts via Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other BD tools
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of competitor landscapes and market trends
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all activities, contacts, meetings, and opportunity details in Salesforce
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Account and Contact records in Salesforce, ensuring segmentation, titles, hierarchies, outreach activity, and data fields are consistently updated
  • Follow all BD processes for event creation, opportunity creation, meeting recording, and progression workflows
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on pipeline creation, outreach performance, and territory engagement
  • Prepare pre-call briefs and materials as needed for Sales Executives
  • Execute and monitor campaigns via phone calls, Outreach.io sequences, and LinkedIn outreach in assigned territory to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Support event-based initiatives as needed related to conference booth engagement and sales hosted events
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in B2B Inside Sales/Business Development/Lead Generation; healthcare field a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience using Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, miEdge, BenefitFlow, or similar tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead high-level conversations with senior HR, Benefits, and Consultant contacts
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a metric-driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently in a hybrid or remote setting
  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently
  • A high degree of personal accountability and trustworthiness, a commitment to working within Quantum Health's policies, values and ethics, and to protecting the sensitive data entrusted to us
