[Remote] Senior General Management Consultant (Media & Go-to-Market Strategy)

Simatree is seeking two Senior General Management Consultants to support a leading media and publishing organization in the television and broadcast space. The role involves leading workstreams to evaluate and redesign the client's sales and go-to-market operating model, focusing on internal versus outsourced capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discrete workstreams focused on sales strategy, go-to-market design, and operating model optimization
  • Assess current-state sales and GTM capabilities to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability
  • Evaluate outsourcing versus in-house operating model alternatives across key commercial functions
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, user interviews, and expert interviews to gather qualitative insights and validate hypotheses
  • Perform market and industry research to identify leading practices and benchmark operating models
  • Develop and evaluate future-state operating model recommendations
  • Synthesize findings into executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with client leadership and engagement team members to drive project outcomes within an accelerated timeline

Skills

  • Previous experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or equivalent strategy consulting background)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and deliver high-quality client outcomes with limited oversight
  • Experience conducting user interviews, executive and subject matter expert interviews, operating model design and assessment, and strategic analysis in an 80/20 consulting environment
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven consulting engagement
  • Media industry experience, preferably within television, broadcasting, publishing, advertising, or mass media ecosystems
  • Sales and go-to-market strategy experience, including commercial operating model design, channel strategy, sales effectiveness, or outsourcing assessments
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in both media and go-to-market strategy engagements
