[Remote] Commercial Lending & Finance Associate Attorney

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Larson Maddox is a highly regarded law firm seeking to expand its Commercial Lending & Finance practice. The role involves advising financial institutions, private lenders, and corporate borrowers on various financing transactions, while also representing clients in commercial finance matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured lending arrangements
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, security documents, and related financing materials
• Assist with structuring transactions, including acquisition financing, asset-based lending, and revolving credit facilities
• Conduct due diligence reviews and support closings by coordinating documentation and managing transaction timelines
• Advise clients on collateral, perfection, and priority issues under the UCC
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to identify risks and ensure smooth execution of transactions

Skills

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice (or ability to waive in)
• 2+ years of experience in commercial lending, finance, or general transactional work at a law firm
• Strong analytical, drafting, and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple matters and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
• Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents and related agreements preferred
• Familiarity with secured transactions and UCC concepts is a plus
