The role involves building, reviewing, and optimizing APIs and backend services while collaborating with research and engineering teams to improve model performance and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Building, reviewing, and optimizing APIs and backend services
- Working with REST and GraphQL architectures
- Evaluating code quality, reliability, security, and maintainability
- Testing advanced AI-powered development tools in real-world engineering workflows
- Identifying bugs, unexpected behaviours, and performance issues
- Producing clear technical feedback, bug reports, screenshots, and observations
- Collaborating with research and engineering teams to improve model performance and developer experience
Skills
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in at least one of the listed technology stacks
- Experience building and maintaining production applications, APIs, or services
- Understanding of security, validation, testing, error handling, and software quality principles
- Experience with databases, schema design, migrations, or performance optimization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide structured technical feedback and detailed observations
- Open-source contributions
- AI-assisted software development
